![]() Today we had a challenge... We all got a sheet of 60 scrabble tiles.....first we had to find the longest word, we could use dictionaries. Then we had to find the highest scoring word we could. Next we had to work out how much our full name was worth in scrabble. Last of all we had to try and use as many of the tiles as possible to make a crossword. This was harder than it sounds. It was great fun and we did really well. Some of us got 13 letter words! ![]() P6 and 7 had a real treat today when we visited AHS and met Barry Huchison, author of loads of great kids books. He read us some of his new book The 13th Horseman and we made Mrs P order it straight away! We can't wait to read it next week. We are following Barry on twitter now so that we can ask him any questions we want to and so we are the first to know of any new books he writes. We could have stayed all day chatting with him. Thank you Barry it was brilliant! ![]() We are making bread every day for the next 2 weeks. On Monday Mrs P taught Hector and Zack how to make it, on Tuesday Zack and Hector taught Herbie and Leah, on Wednesday Leah and Herbie taught Liam and Leon and tomorrow they have chosen to teach Jonny and Christina. We are going to try lots of different recipes and see which one we like the most. ![]() The Gaelic Nursery children joined us in the hall at the end of P.E. and taught us how to play Duck, Duck, Goose in Gaelic!! It was great fun but we did have to slow down a bit so we didn't scare them. |
